I am pleased to be with you today for the official opening ceremony of the SENA High School Entebbe.

Cooperation in the field of development is an essential part of our multidimensional bilateral relations with Uganda.

Turkish Government Institutions - TIKA being the most effective and experienced one - as well as Turkish NGO’s, have been instrumental in this field. Our NGO’s have accomplished various projects, small and big, in almost every corner of Uganda.

SENA Foundation has a distinguished place among these NGO’s.

We are delighted to witness the completion of an exemplary project, which has been successfully accomplished in Uganda. What is special about this project, is that it is the product of an excellent cooperation and coordination between SENA and TIKA. We wholeheartedly express our gratitude to both.

Education is one of the most valuable investments that any nation can make. By investing in schools, teachers, and young people, we are investing in the future prosperity, stability, and development of our societies. Every classroom built and every student given access to quality education creates new opportunities, not only for individuals and their families, but also for the nation as a whole.

The young people who will study at this school are the future leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, and innovators of Uganda. Their knowledge, skills, and values will contribute to shaping the country’s future. Therefore, supporting education is not merely a charitable act; it is a long-term investment in human capital and sustainable development.

We are particularly pleased that this project will provide more young Ugandans with access to quality education and a conducive learning environment. We hope that SENA High School will become a center of excellence, nurturing generations of students who will make meaningful contributions to their communities and to Uganda’s continued progress.

Let me underline that Uganda can count on the continued support of the Türkiye and Turkish NGO’s in many fields.

We, the Turkish Embassy in Kampala and the Turkish NGO’s will continue to support Uganda especially in terms of capacity and institution building in the fields of education, vocational training, health, agriculture and tourism. In other words, we will continue to support Uganda’s development agenda.

We are pleased to join our efforts with the Ugandan government institutions and the people, and we aim to continue working together.
