Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear Students,

I am pleased to be with you today in Ntungamo, one of the most beautiful cities in Uganda.
We are delighted to successfully carry out another Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency project in Uganda.

Cooperation in the field of development is an essential part of our multidimensional bilateral relations with Uganda.

Turkish Government Institutions - TIKA being the most effective and experienced one - as well as Turkish NGOs, have been instrumental in this field.

As of today, TIKA has completed 77 projects in Uganda since the early 2000s, and it plans to carry out 7 more projects in the first half of 2024.

Our NGOs have also completed various projects, both small and large, in almost every corner of Uganda. They are now working on their Aid El Adha activities in cooperation with their Ugandan counterparts.

This project in Ntungamo is unique because we are contributing to the Ugandan authorities' efforts to improve the quality of life for our deaf and dumb students in the region. We thank once again TİKA for successfully coordinating this dear project.

Taking this opportunity, let me underline that Uganda can count on the continued support of the Türkiye in many fields.

The Turkish Embassy in Kampala, TIKA, the Turkish agency in charge of implementing and coordinating Turkiye's development cooperation policy, and the Turkish NGOs will keep supporting Uganda, with a focus on capacity and institution building in the fields of education, vocational training, health, agriculture, and tourism. In other words, we will continue to support Uganda’s development agenda.

We are pleased to join efforts with the Ugandan government institutions and the people, and we aim to continue working together.

I wish the best for Uganda and its people and I thank State Minister Diana Nankunda Mutasingwa for being with us today.
